Our Story

Rumi’s Relief was born on a cold November day in 2020, when a single table appeared in the heart of Nottingham with hot meals and open hearts. No grand launch. No fanfare. Just one simple truth: that every person deserves dignity, warmth, and the knowledge that someone cares.

Word spread quickly. The homeless came. Refugees came. Struggling families came. And we served them all—no forms, no questions, no conditions. Just food, clothing, kindness, and the message that they mattered.

What started as one table in one city has become a lifeline across continents. Today, Rumi’s Relief reaches communities in the UK, Pakistan, Sudan, South Africa, Syria, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia—bringing relief to those facing poverty, displacement, conflict, and crisis.

Our Mission

We exist to serve humanity at its most vulnerable. Not with pity, but with respect. Not with charity that diminishes, but with support that uplifts.

Our work takes many forms because human need is never one-dimensional. We install water pumps so families don’t walk miles for contaminated water. We serve hot meals so no one sleeps hungry. We deliver food packs during emergencies. We bring sweets to children who’ve forgotten what joy tastes like.

Every project shares the same DNA: immediate relief paired with lasting dignity.

Our Promise

We will never ask you to prove you’re struggling enough to deserve help. We will never judge your circumstances.

At Rumi’s Relief, our principle is sacred and simple: if you need help, you will be helped.

Because in a world that often asks “are you worthy?”, we answer differently. We say: “You are human. That’s enough.”

Our Vision

We dream of a world where clean water flows freely, where no child goes to bed hungry, where displaced families find shelter and hope, where kindness isn’t rare—it’s everywhere.

Until that world exists, we’ll keep showing up. One table. One meal. One community. One life at a time.

This is Rumi’s Relief. This is how we serve humanity
